PlayStation 3 support now standard in Linux 2.4

Sony-contributed patches aimed at adding machine-specific features for the PS3 have been merged into the stable 2.4.20 kernel tree. This makes it easier to create and maintain Linux distributions that run on the PS3.

MySpace blames Apple for hacked accounts - actually a MySpace flaw

A Quicktime movie that made the rounds last week, which altered user profiles and changing links on their pages to redirect to phishing websites. In fact it was a flaw of MySpace in combination with a legit feature of QuickTime that caused all the damage.

IBM designing chip to help decode the Big Bang

IBM and European astronomy organisation Astron are collaborating on designing a microprocessor that will help antennas collect weak radio signals from deep space, in an attempt to learn what happened at the time of the Big Bang.
